New Zealand Qualification - NCEA
What is NCEA? NCEA, or the National Certificate of Educational Achievement, is the primary qualification for senior secondary school students in New Zealand. It is offered at Levels 1, 2, and 3 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF).
Flexibility and Opportunities: The NCEA qualification offers students unparalleled flexibility. It allows them to tailor their educational journey by choosing subjects that align with their interests, while still working towards their University Entrance qualification. Whether it's dance, visual art, photography, food and nutrition, digital technology or drama, these diverse subjects contribute towards achieving University entrance requirements.
Varied Assessment Methods: NCEA employs a range of assessment methods to accommodate diverse learning needs. From traditional examinations to writing reports, conducting experiments, engaging in group work, building portfolios, and delivering performances, students experience a comprehensive evaluation that captures their unique skills and abilities.
Globally Recognised Pathways: NCEA is not just a qualification; it's a gateway to global opportunities. Recognised internationally, it opens pathways to prestigious universities worldwide. Whether students dream of pursuing higher education abroad or continuing their studies within New Zealand, NCEA equips them with the credentials and skills necessary for success in a variety of courses.
At our school, we celebrate the holistic development facilitated by NCEA, encouraging students to explore, excel, and embrace their potential on their educational journey.
